I am currently studying mechanical engineering at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. This was my degree of choice because I greatly enjoy science (especially physics) and design.

Music is also a passion of mine. I have been learning to play piano since an early age and in 2013 I passed my Trinity Grade Eight examination with a distinction mark. In 2010 piano branched out into playing organ at Wellington Cathedral of St. Paul. I held a junior organ scholarship there from 2010-2013.

I love travelling all over the world. I’ve been to no fewer than ten overseas countries. French travel is my favourite: I have been to France twice and New Caledonia three times and can speak conversational French. I lived in Adelaide for three months over the summer of 2016-17.

Technology is awesome, but several years ago I decided I would like to create websites and programs rather than just using them. This drove me to teach myself how to code in python and C#. While I enjoy using PHP to generate dynamic websites, the latest iteration of my personal site is a static site generated using Jekyll. Working with Jekyll has been great practice at using SASS, Markdown and liquid tags.
