I’m a product developer at Xero, where I’m learning and applying software skills in a broad range of areas, from continuous integration to data engineering.

I studied mechanical engineering at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. This was my degree of choice because I greatly enjoy science and design.

Music is also a passion of mine. I’ve been playing the piano for over 15 years and played the organ for several years. I am also a low-key audio nerd.

I love travelling all over the world. I’ve been to no fewer than ten overseas countries. French travel is my favourite: I have been to France twice and New Caledonia three times and can speak conversational French. My longest trip overseas was to Australia, where I lived and worked in Adelaide for three months.

Technology is awesome, but when I was young I decided I would like to create websites and programs rather than just using them. This drove me to teach myself how to code in python and C#. The rest is history.
